As Group Managing Director of the AMW Group, Mr. Jawahar Shankar Jai Ganesh oversees the diverse operations of AMW Sri Lanka, an Al-Futtaim Company in Dubai. This includes automotive sales and after-sales services, lubricants, batteries and tyres, tyre retreading, financial services (leasing and hire purchase), and a multitude of other strategic divisions. He serves on the Boards
of AMW Ltd and AMW Capital Leasing and Finance PLC, working closely with the Al-Futtaim Group to further enhance and strengthen AMW’s operational excellence in Sri Lanka. Mr. Ganesh was appointed to the Board of AMW Capital Leasing and Finance PLC on 25th September 2025.

As a Senior Executive, he has demonstrated the ability to lead cultural and process changes, build strong teams, achieve operating efficiency in demanding and dynamic markets, and drive significant growth in revenue and profitability.

Mr. Ganesh is an exceptional leader with vast leadership abilities, having managed aftersales, business planning and development in internationally recognized businesses.

Having worked in the field for over 30 years, Mr. Ganesh has gained success in strategic – leadership planning, innovative thinking and problem solving at the managing director level in variety of business domains, such as service strategy, planning and after-sale service delivery, etc.

Additionally, he is a professional in the Automotive industry with brands such as Nissan and Mitsubishi in Europe and Middle Easten countries.
