Independent Non-Executive Director

Ms. Roshini Fernando has over three decades of professional experience acquired both in Sri Lanka and Australia across strategic sectors. She functioned as a Partner, Ernst & Young in Sri Lanka. Prior to this role, she served as a Financial Services Advisor at the University of Melbourne in Australia. For over twenty years, Ms. Fernando has also been an Executive Director of S. St. Clair Teas (Pvt) Ltd, gaining extensive business and commercial experience. The Company is engaged in the export of Tea
from Sri Lanka.

Functioning as a Partner, Tax Services at Ernst & Young, Ms. Fernando operated as a key resource person in providing professional tax services. These services related to both direct and indirect tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. She was also the practice builder for International Tax and Transaction Services, which included both buy/ sell side Mergers &
Acquisition related transaction due diligence and encompassed post- merger structuring & integration related tax advice.

Her professional experience at the University of Melbourne included supporting the Academic Board of the University in financial planning and execution. Her other core experience included collaborative partnerships with the Administrative Divisions to provide financial planning and advisory services as well as mitigating financial risk. She was also an active member of the Tax Liaison Group of the University.

Over the many years, Ms. Fernando has had the distinctive advantage of expanding her knowledge and experience in implementing Risk and Quality Frameworks from a global perspective.

Ms. Fernando is a Fellow Member of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. She is also a Certified Practicing Accountant (Australia), an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK). She has also completed a certification programme on Mergers and Acquisitions (International Tax Aspects) from the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (Netherlands).
